Drafting the Library

Collage of architectural drafts of the Cornell University Library building, 1891, and portrait of architect William Henry Miller.

The building we now know as Uris Library opened in 1891 to much acclaim. Its distinctive tower quickly became a University symbol, and its nooks and crannies favorite haunts for generations of students. This exhibition highlights the architect and designs that brought the structure to life.
